INTRODUCING

     With a career spanning over 25 years, Spencer Bean remains one of the most sought after studio guitarists in the music and entertainment industry.  Offering a broad spectrum of musical styles including: classical, popular music, smooth jazz, Latin, blues, gospel, classic rock, reggae, Motown, R&B, and Hip Hop, Mr. Bean's innovative and creative style has led him to perform at worldwide venues including: White House performances as part of a PBS special during the Clinton administration, and at a fundraiser for former President George Bush.  Mr. Bean has also toured, and recorded with Marvin Gaye in Tokyo, Japan; at The North Sea Jazz Festival in Amsterdam, Holland; Montreux Jazz Festival, in Switzerland; Playboy Jazz Festival in Hollywood, California; The Apollo Theatre in New York; The Royal Albert Hall in London, England; and The Hilton Hotel Chains of Australia.  Mr. Bean's versatility has  made him a favorite performer at corporate social events and on executive cruises for fortune five hundred companies including: Northern Telecom, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Sun Microsystems, Lucent Technologies, The Atlanta Braves, and The Atlanta Falcons. 

       Mr. Bean has worked as a recording studio guitarist, and vocalist for an impressive list of companies including: MCA Records, Motown Records, CBS Records, A&M Records, Sony Records, Atlantic Records, Capital Records, Warner Brothers Records, Blue Note Records, and Virgin Records. He has performed for ABC, NBC, CBS, BBC, BET, Sesame Street, and Disney Television Networks, and has appeared on The Grammy Awards Show, The American Music Awards, The Rosanne Show, The Rosie O'Donnell Show, The Arsenio Hall Show, and Regis & Kathy Lee. 

     Mr. Bean's career began with formal training in music performance at the California State University of Los Angeles, where he studied jazz, classical guitar, music composition, music arrangement, and voice with some of Los Angeles' most legendary jazz musicians. As head guitar instructor for Grant's School of Music in Los Angeles, Mr. Bean taught many of today's professional musicians, including former guitar student Lenny Kravitz.  Throughout his career, Mr. Bean has continued to teach and mentor new rising stars, and currently teaches young students through the Fulton County Board of Education, in Atlanta Georgia. 

     While gaining a national reputation as a recording artist and studio musician, Mr. Bean gained international acclaim as the lead guitarist background vocalist, band leader for over 20 years with The Grammy Award winning Gladys Knight, & The Pips, and featured soloist on their hit single “My Time,” by Columbia Records.  Mr. Bean was featured on Marvin Gaye's “Hear My Dear” Multi - Platinum Recording on Motown Records, and has expressed outstanding guitar work on numerous other gold and platinum recordings including: jingles, television shows, theatre, and movie sound tracks. He has recorded, toured nationally, and internationally with Boyz II Men, BabyFace, George Duke, Harvey Mason, Dianne Reeves, Patrice Rushen, B.B. King, Quincy Jones, Barry White, Fred Wesley, Natalie Cole, Patti La Belle, Kenny Loggins, Glen Campbell, David Hasselhoff, and many others. 

     With a new CD soon to be ready for release, Mr. Bean blends old school with new sounds as a super producer, and song writer.  In the vain of George Benson and Carlos Santana, continues to demonstrate to new audiences that classic sounds, when blended with new emerging styles, can create a captivating and energizing fusion which promises to take this legendary recording artist to the next level of an already storeyed career.
